Be Mine Here is a sample of Eric's latest blog: ...I am here now at the auction. Just as my thoughts had suggested the cars I had seen on the list with one owner car faxes are amazing. They are the type of cars you wish that all dealers would bring for a public showing. I am going to do my best to own these cars for the enthusiast waiting for a purest car After a beating I came out with seven cars. Some of the high lights are a 99 Range Rover HSE with all four keys, books and an incredible 44k original odometer. Next, I dug out a 2003 Mercedes ML 350 4MATIC with only 45k one owner miles. It includes navigation and of course the must have heated leather seats. One of my other finds was a 2005 garaged Audi S4 Quattro Cabriolet with only 20k miles. These are the kind of cars that I would die for. They represent state of the art engineering and owners that saw any need taken care of along its journey. This was of course so you could enjoy the car down the road at a fraction of original cost but still have it like new. Well, I am off to LA ... They were in desperate need of reliable transportation. Last spring, Eric visited Kageyo himself to see first-hand the needs of this remote village. Touched by their lifestyle, Eric made a goal and a priority to raise money for Africa New Life, who in turn would use the money to provide a vehicle for the village. We just received an email from Africa New Life and a picture of the vehicle, a Toyota Hilux pick-up truck: Eric, I am writing to you from Kigali tonight with some great news. The Truck has arrived! Thank you for ALL that you and your team at Freeman Motors did to make this happen. The people of Kageyo are now a lot closer to medical attention, easier to reach with supplies and our staff now has a reliable way to move back and forth between our ministry sites. His first email sent from Africa was filled with hope and vivid depiction of the plight currently faced by so many. Eric wrote home, “I am having a great time. I cannot believe how happy a child can be when they have nothing.” He included details of a child currently sponsored by Jason Copeland, a Freeman Motor Co. employee, “We drove into the jungle. The road even ended before getting to her hut. I am talking remote! We brought enough food to feed them for about a month. She and the family are very thankful. The Freeman team just missed out on the prize for last place by 1 stroke. When asked how they felt they played Boderman said "I'm a bit dissapointed that we could not bring home any hardware, but I take great joy in what this tournament does for the local kids of Portland. Freeman Motors Third Annual Detailer of the Year Competition Results August 6, 2007 Congratulation to our winner Greg Johnson Auto Detail! Freeman Motors Third Annual Detailer of the Year competition was held Saturday. 5 local detail companies entered the competition in which they had 7 and a half hours to complete the best auto detail. There was free barbeque and T- Shirts for those who visited to see the results. In third place was Mark Monroe Auto Reconditioning. Car City received the second place prize. Finally, Greg Johnson Auto Detailing earned top honors and the $500 dollar grand prize for the third year in a row. Owner Greg Johnson plans to retire from the competition undefeated and become a judge in future years.
